Vert Chiropractic’s Proven Treatments

Dr. Hewitt has always been fascinated by the human body. During his time as an Academy of Chiropractic Excellence intern in college, he studied every adjustment technique for over a year and went through many practical exams that covered the realignment of the entire body.

Dr. Hewitt quickly became familiar with best practices for adjusting and treating many kinds of injuries and was the go-to for other students when correcting technique errors. This experience helped him gain an understanding of which adjustments are most effective and quickly led him to realize that a non-invasive approach to chiropractic care is key.

Here are some of our favorite tools and techniques that have proven to be successful over the years:

Diversified technique: This technique involves pressure that is applied to the affected vertebral segment to restore regular movement throughout the entire body. The diversified technique has been proven to help adjust areas in the cervical and thoracic regions as well as other injured areas throughout the body.

Gonstead technique: A chiropractor that practices Gonstead techniques takes into consideration the patient’s entire physical makeup, but focuses mostly on the lumbar spine to realign and readjust bones that are harder to manipulate back to their original position.

Prone specific technique: One of the most widely used adjustments, prone specific adjustments are gentle, easy to use, and better for the patient because they remain stationary throughout treatment.

Activator tool: A chiropractic activator tool is used to apply a quick, gentle adjustment in patients that need a softer approach. This tool is most commonly used on infants, geriatric patients, and people who don’t like the “cracking sounds” that may come with common adjustments. The low-impact nature of the activator tool makes it the perfect solution for non-invasive treatments.

These treatments are just a few of the proven methods that we use to help our patients get back to their normal selves. If you’d like to learn more about the treatments we provide or the techniques we use, give us a call today. We would love to walk you through our different options!
